What We Provide

 

The Transitional Living Program provides living quarters and support for homeless single men in the Anchorage area for up to six months.

Criteria for Admission

 

Individuals must be:

     Male, homeless and single

     Alcohol and drug free for at least 90 days

     Mentally stable

     Interested in becoming self-sufficient

     Willing to follow house rules and individual plans established by case manager

     Willing to work full time and able to find work within 30 days

     Willing to pay $100 a month for rent

     Willing to put 30% of monthly income into a savings account

 

NOTE: ALL APPLICANTS WILL NEED TO COMPLETE A BACKGROUND CHECK WITH LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICES PRIOR TO ADMISSION TO THE PROGRAM. ANY INDIVIDUAL CONVICTED OF A SEXUAL OFFENCE, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OR A FELONIOUS ASSUALT WILL NOT BE ADMITTED.
